For 33 years, the Babcock Center Foundation Classic has raised funding that is essential to the Babcock Center mission. The BABCOCK CENTER is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with lifelong disabilities to enjoy life by promoting abilities and respecting choice. The agency provides residential, day and vocational supports to more than 900 individuals in Richland and Lexington counties.  The BABCOCK CENTER vision is to cultivate an inclusive community free of barriers for people with lifelong disabilities.

Golf Classic FAQs

What is the tournament schedule?

  • 10:30 AM – Registration
  • 12:00 PM – Shotgun start
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch (individually packaged)

In the interest of following health and safety guidelines, dinner will be Individually packaged. Outdoor seating recognizing social distancing practices will be available.

What is the format of the tournament?

The tournament is played as captain’s choice with a 4 person team.
Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin and longest drive.
Players may also purchase mulligans and string for a small additional fee.

How does registration cost and what does my registration include?

$100 per golfer (or $400 for a team of 4)
$20.00 for two mulligans per player
$20.00 20ft of string per player (At any point in play, a player may move the ball the length of the string or less, to any desired position)

  • Greens Fees

  • Beverages during play
  • Lunch and Dinner (individually packaged)

 Is my registration fee transferable?

Yes. Please call us at 803-799-1970 to arrange this.

Is it OK if the name on my registration doesn’t match the person who attends?

Yes, as long as it has been transferred as above.
